The ‘Rock’ of Gibraltar is at the end of the Iberian Peninsula. Many still refer to this accessible holiday destination as an island, although it is now linked by a narrow strip with the sea on both sides.
To many, Gibraltar is like a home from home on a disabled holiday – you can still use English money there and many of the shops in the centre of town are well known names that you’ll recognise and find a bargain at, thanks to the significant tax reductions.
The island is known for the Barbary apes which live on the Rock, and no barrier-free holiday to Gibraltar would be complete without a tour to see them. An adapted tour of the Rock can be arranged, along with a visit to St Michael’s cave, so visitors with limited mobility can enjoy the destinations big attractions to the full.
