Accessible Holidays in Calpe
Surrounded by five sandy beaches, the famously artistic spot of Calpe is both exquisitely attractive and filled with accessible entertainment.
Calpe is most famous for its incredible landmark, the “Penon de Ifach”, which is a gigantic 600m-high rock on Calpe Beach. Calpe Beach and its several other beaches have all been granted a Blue Flag, and each has fantastic facilities as well as a high level of cleanliness.
Calpe’s famous fish market is certainly worth a visit for seafood fans. Nearby restaurants will display raw fish out front and allow customers to point to the food they want to eat before it is taken to the kitchen to be prepared.
The resort also provides dozens of bars, clubs and discos, with live music and DJs keeping visitors and locals alike entertained until the morning.
Culture-wise, the ancient town centre has a beautiful church known as Iglesia Vieja, while the remains of a Roman villa once formed part of a Roman fish factory, and a little further along are the ruins of the Moorish castle of Calpe.
