Accesible Holidays in Costa de la Luz
Costa de la Luz– or “Coast of Light” – lies on the western side of the Andalucia coast, where the beaches are unspoiled and often backed by sand dunes and pine trees. There are no high-rise hotel developments to blot the landscape here and the sand is slightly finer than at the beaches of its neighbour, the Costa del Sol.
Traditional local food is often reasonably priced and quite exquisite. Although meat is of course available, many restaurants and bars favour serving seafood, with seafood tapas being a speciality. While the Costa de la Luz is a quality accessible holiday destination, you are unlikely to hear many English-speaking voices here at all. On the coast, you are likely to see pink flamingos in flight and dolphins in the water, while in the rural south,h you will encounter hill-top pueblos and lush green cork forests.
During the summer the temperature is hot in both regions – sometimes the high 30s – but in spring and autumn the weather is cooler while remaining warm enough to enjoy all the advantages of the outdoors.
Transfer time from the airport is approximately 1 hour.
