Some frequently asked questions
Does Enable Holidays guarantee adapted rooms?
Yes, we will never take a booking unless we can guarantee the adapted room.
Do they have wheel-in showers or baths?
We have a selection of accommodations with both wheel-in and baths. But we find wheel-in showers are the most popular so we have featured more hotels with wheel-in showers than baths.
Are the hotels fully accessible?
The hotels are all personally audited and graded accordingly, and they are chosen for their access to all the main areas of the hotel.
Will I have adapted taxi/transfer from the airport?
Yes, in the majority of our destinations.
Will I have assistance at the airport?
Yes, we will pre-book your assistance at the airport from check-in to the aircraft, both here and in resort.
Can I take my own manual/electric wheelchair/scooter?
Yes, most airlines will now gladly carry all forms of chairs – they just ask that they have dry/gel or sealed batteries and what the dimensions and weight of your chair/scooter are. You will also need to provide the dimensions and weight of your vehicle.
What equipment can I hire in resort?
All manner of things from a toilet raiser to a hoist…to a zimmer frame and wheelchairs and scooters and more.
Will I have a rep in resort?
Yes, they will not be resident in your accommodation, but they will meet you from the airport, drop in to visit you once during your stay. You will for peace of mind have a 24-hour emergency contact number for them.
Will I be able to book any excursions?
In some of our destinations we can offer excursions with an adapted vehicle. Just ask at the time of booking. These will be paid for locally, unless bought as part of a package.
