German Quiz Night Proves Lucky For Enable Holidays’ Duo

10 October 2014

When Enable Holidays received an invitation to attend a special tourism night hosted by the German Tourist Board, it turned into a passport to prizes for two members of the team.

The event was arranged to showcase North Rhein-Westphalia, and Enable Holidays is pleased to be again working with the GTB in conjunction with their ‘Barrier-Free Germany’ campaign, which is helping to attract more disabled people to the country.

Reanna, Denisa and Warren flew the flag for Enable on the night and thoroughly enjoyed the socialising, drinks and mini versions of classic pub food – especially the tantalising Yorkshire puddings stuffed with succulent rolls of beef!

Following the reception, the real serious business got underway when the quiz commenced… and with only 15 seconds per question to answer, the pressure was intense. We weren’t the winners by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, we came second to last, but at least we had a go.

Around the corner however was the lucky dip… and whose name was the first to be drawn from the hat? Our very own Denisa! By the time the draw was made however Denisa had left, so Warren accepted the prize on her behalf – a wonderful 2-night break in Munster! Several more names were called and various prizes and mini breaks won, before another golden ticket was drawn.

And guess who this one belonged to?

Yes, you’ve probably worked it out by now, that the owner was none other than our very own Warren! So, up he stumbled for the second time and gratefully accepted a weekend break for Oktoberfest in September of next year! A double win for Enable Holidays and a great night out!
