This is one of our most popular hotels, with several customers having returned to the Golden Residence on numerous occasions.

One of the main reasons for the hotel's appeal is the attention to detail provided by the attentive staff. Guests also appreciate the quality surroundings, wonderful grounds and spectacular views. Overlooking the rugged coastline and sparkling blue ocean, the Golden Residence also looks out across some of Madeira's remaining banana plantations.

Wellbeing and relaxation are of paramount importance at this hotel, which is why you will find a tranquil spa offering a variety of ways in which to relax and unwind.

The adapted room for disabled guests is a good-sized suite with twin beds and a sofa bed and easily sleeps three people. It also features a kitchenette and basic cooking facilities.

Elevators and ramps provide access around the hotel and both the indoor and outdoor pools are accessible via gently incling ramps with supportinve railing.

Located in the main tourist area of Funchal and near to a small shopping centre and handily placed for the adapted public bus to the town centre.

Auditor's Review

The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is a wet room with a wall-mounted shower chair. Both the indoor and outdoor pools have ramp access and the accommodation supply a wheelchair especially for this.  A great property where the staff will make you feel as if you are home from home. The town centre can be reached by an adapted public bus.
