At Mar y Sol Spa & Sport Hotel in Los Cristianos, the whole complex has been designed to be genuinely inclusive for guests with reduced mobility. All guest rooms include bathrooms with wheel-in showers, raised toilet seats and strategically placed grab rails to aid safety and comfort.
Lifts and gentle ramps connect the major buildings and public spaces of the resort so that even areas originally separated by steps are easily reached without obstacles. The pool area is one of the favourite places frequented by guests and includes two big pools and a therapy pool. Pool access is facilitated by hoists and easy-use hand-rails, with one pool heated all year to approximately 32°C, and offering neck-showers, whirlpools, water cascades, Jacuzzis and massage showers.
Adaptive equipment is available on request, including shower chairs, electric beds, and mobility aids, while additional specialist services such as rehabilitation and care are offered through qualified providers.

The Mar y Sol complex has a wide variety of accommodations available. They all have a flat floor shower, and a shower chair can be supplied free of charge. If you require these, please reserve them at the time of booking your holiday.
The apartment types are -
Studio apartments: Compact economy single-room accommodation with open-kitchen, as well as single sofa bed with extendable second bed and a balcony or patio. Some with elevated toilet and grips.
One-bedroom apartment: Sleeps up to four people with two twin beds in the bedroom and a single sofa bed with an extendable second bed in the lounge area. Basic kitchenette in the apartment. The bathroom has either a shower or some have an additional bath (on request). Some with elevated toilet and grips.
Superior one-bedroom apartments: A twin bedroom and a lounge area with a sofa bed that will sleep up to four people. The bathroom has a wheel-in shower with grab rails and there are grab rails by the elevated toilet.
Comfort room: Two single beds. The bathroom has grab rails for both the toilet and the shower.
Superior Studio: Spacious studios furnished with sofa bed, a kitchenette and balcony or patio. The bathroom has grab rails by the toilet and in the shower area.
Premium one-bedroom apartments: Sleeps up to four people, has a separate bedroom with two beds and sofa bed in the lounge. Includes a kitchenette and the bathroom is equipped with a wheel-in shower and has well-placed grab rails and elevated toilet.
Fully wheelchair-accessible sports hall where you can play basketball, wheelchair-rugby, electric wheelchair hockey and two badminton courts. Corresponding baskets, goals and nets have also been installed. Adjacent to this there is a smaller area with an indoor-boccia court (valid for international tournaments) and extra basketball training baskets. The sports hall provides space for several table-tennis tables, including the corresponding barriers around them. Sports equipment such as balls, rackets, scoreboards and audio facilities are also available.
Sports therapists are on hand for both able-bodied and mobility-impaired guests and offer a great variety of sports and play activities in the hotel's sports hall.
There're also activities such as water gymnastics, wheelchair gymnastics, garden bowling and garden chess.
This specialist property sets out to provide every facility for wheelchair users, their families and friends to enjoy a really good holiday.
Guestrooms and bathrooms are spacious.
The pools offer access by steps, ramp or hoists. The outside diving centre caters for every guest so the whole family can join in. It would be difficult to find a hotel so experienced in meeting the needs of people with mobility impairments.
