Enable Holidays’ MD Invited to Speak at World Travel Market

29 October 2013

Enable Holidays’ Lynne Kirby will join high-profile speakers Evan Davies, BBC Radio 4 presenter, and Colin Matthews, CEO of London Heathrow Airport, at the World Travel Market in London on 6th November.

Lynne has been invited to speak at a session sponsored by Amadeus exploring whether the global travel industry is keeping pace with changing traveller expectations.

Other panellists include Simone Buckley, CEO of the Institute of Travel & Meetings, Carol Hay, Director of Marketing UK and Europe at the Caribbean Tourism Organization, and the Leisure Director at Advantage Travel Centres, Julia Lo-Bue Said.

The session chaired by Steve Endacott, Chief Executive of On Holiday Group, will focus on how travel companies can provide a superior service to match travellers with the experiences they desire – including the integration of smarter technology and examples of best practice.

Lynne Kirby is Managing Director of Enable Holidays, the UK’s leading provider of accessible overseas holidays.

“I’m honoured to be invited to speak at this year’s World Travel Market. It is an excellent opportunity to highlight the needs and desires of disabled travellers to a global audience,” said Lynne.

“The UK’s estimated 10.6 million disabled people have a combined annual spend on goods and services of up to £80 billion.* Disabled travellers are a sizeable yet poorly addressed segment of the market and the industry needs to do more to meet their requirements.

“As the UK’s leading tour operator of accessible overseas holidays we are constantly sourcing new opportunities to satisfy our customers’ desires for something different and captivating.

“In January we’ll be launching an 11-day tour of India’s Golden Triangle and we’ve also recently assessed extreme activities in Catalonia to evaluate their suitability for disabled travellers.”

The session, entitled Amadeus Travel Insights: Connecting with the 21st-century traveller, take place at 3.30pm at the World Travel Market on 6th November in the Travel Tech Theatre TT185 at ExCeL London.
