Disability Friendly Holidays in Playa de Muro
Playa de Muro is a grand line of Blue Flag white sandy beaches that stretch on for over nine miles, with water that is shallow but with a slightly larger surf than some Mallorcan beaches. The Playa de Muro Beach is often pleasingly quiet due to its out-of-town location.
The tree-lined promenade is flat and bordered by countless shops, restaurants and bars, which generally have a more upmarket feel than some Mallorcan resorts and cater for customers craving affordable luxury. There are amenities on the beach and attractions nearby, as well as in the town to keep visitors entertained, and the flat promenade is ideal for visitors with limited mobility and those who use a wheelchair.
The nature lovers amongst you may want to visit the S’Albufera Natural Park, where some of the resort’s most beautiful scenic sights are to be seen, as well as over 200 species of birds. As for human-made beauty, a trip to the old town in Alcudia will reveal ancient city walls, Roman ruins, and some intriguing old mansions.
Like many of Mallorca’s resorts, the seafood and tapas here are often fantastic, while other restaurants supply international cuisine.
Transfer time from the airport is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
