One of the most rewarding parts of being a member of the Enable Holidays team is knowing that a customer has enjoyed their holiday, and for this reason our recent competition was an absolute joy.

We asked our customers to send us their favourite pics and videos taken during an Enable holiday, with the possibility of winning £200 off their next accessible adventure. Whether you were cavorting in the Canaries, soaking in the sun in Spain, or having fun in Florida, we wanted to see you enjoying yourselves during a trip that we had arranged for you.

We are now delighted to announce the winning photograph, which we plan to include in our upcoming brochure due to be released in January 2017.

Let’s have a round of applause for Vicky Seville for her photograph snapped while on holiday in Lanzarote! The team particularly loved that in the picture, Vicky was using an accessible tandem bike to explore the sights of Matagorda with Erica, who is the lady in the wheelchair. A stylish and fun way to get out and about.

Vicky said: “I was really surprised and very excited to learn that I had sent in the winning photograph, as I have never won a competition in my life!”

Vicky told us that the highlight of her holiday was when she found a bike hire shop in the resort that loaned out the wheelchair bike.

She continued: “The bike enabled me to enjoy my passion for cycling and at the same time let us both venture out further, and for Erica to feel included in the holiday activity. We were constantly applauded by other tourists for riding such a bike, and were stopped numerous times.”

Vicky says that she will be tempted to use her winning voucher towards another sun-soaked break at one of the Canary Islands.
