We are an award-winning disabled holiday specialist, providing accessible package holidays abroad with guaranteed adapted accommodation. “We believe travel for disabled people should involve less work and more play”, as we find, plan and arrange holidays to suit the individual needs of the client.
With over 500 accessible properties in over 50 destinations, we have an extensive number of holidays that your disabled client(s) could enjoy, from no-fly holidays to Jersey, sunny holidays in Spain, to fantastic accessible tours of Vietnam and India.
Every single package holiday is personalised to your client’s needs, as we understand that every holiday will not be suitable for every person, nor disability. However, our expert advisors will be able to help your client choose the best and most suitable holiday for them.
The Enable Holidays Audit
Nearly all these properties are individually audited by ourselves, where we cover a unique and extensive accessibility audit which includes ramp gradients, floor surfaces, availability of assistive equipment, bed heights, door widths, wheelchair manoeuvrability throughout the accommodation and around the resort itself, as well as much more.
There isn’t a standardised approach to accessibility throughout the world and therefore we extensively audit all accommodation, to provide the most accurate information for your client(s). For example, wheelchairs come in varied sizes, so require different width doors and we’ve visited properties that have accessible rooms but do not have wheelchair access throughout the accommodation, meaning that wheelchair users may not be able to access the adapted room.
Guaranteed Accessible Accommodation
We only work with suppliers that guarantee the accessible accommodation upon booking. Please be aware that this may take a couple of days for confirmation, but you can rest assured that your client(s) will always get an adapted room to meet their needs. Upon booking, we will share all the accessibility information to make sure it’s suitable for the client’s needs.
In Resort Reps
We have local agent partners in most resorts providing a representative service – meaning that if your client’s have an issue whilst on holiday then it can be resolved immediately. Your client(s) will be given all the contact details for the local representatives and on most occasions, they’ll be greeted by them on arrival. As a back-up, we have an emergency phone line which is available 24/7.
Private Adapted Transfers
We arrange private adapted transfers to and from the holiday that’s suitable for the requirements of the party. Like our comprehensive property auditing procedure, we carefully select taxi companies and suppliers of adapted vehicles to make the transfers as comfortable and easy as possible for your client(s).
For the convenience of your client(s), we can pre-book a wide range of mobility equipment so they can enjoy their holiday to the fullest. To ensure we meet the requirements of your client(s), please let us know what equipment is required at the time of booking.
Examples of available mobility equipment to pre-book in resorts; Manual Wheelchairs, Electric Wheelchairs, Scooters, Elephant feet, Air/Pressure Mattress, Shower/Toilet Chairs (commode), Electric/Stand-Up Hoist, Walking Frame, Monkey Poles and much more.
Our friendly advisors have over 150 years’ travel industry experience between them, and they regularly visit resorts and properties to carry out the Enable Holidays Accessibility Audit. This gives us an advantage as your clients can ask us detailed questions about the hotel, resort and general accessibility and we’d be able to give them first-hand and precise information.
At the time of booking, we can also speak directly to your clients if you wish as we understand that it can be difficult to ask sensitive questions. Feel free to pass the phone over, or put us on loud speaker and we’ll go through everything with your client(s). Please note that we value agents and we abide by price parity.
