History and Architecture

Turkey's history of human habitation goes back 25.000 years. The Hittits, Hellens, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks and the Ottomans as well as a great number of other civilisations rose and fell here through thousands of years, leaving behind a multitude of historical sites and stunning architecture.

Cheaper

Turkey's currency is the Turkish Lira and on average the cost of living is around half of what you'd pay in the UK. For example, an inexpensive meal will cost around £12 in the UK however this will be to the equivalent of around £4 in Turkey.

Souvenirs

Spending a day in one of the Turkish Bazaars will leave you speechless. The people hustle and bustle, the sights and smells and energy of the people will reveal the true heart of Turkey. You'll be able to find souvenirs such as Rugs & Carpets, Turkish Delight, Tea Bags, Glasses, Mosaic Lamps, Spices and much more! Whilst the biggest and best bazaars are usually found in the main cities, there are quieter, tourist-free bazaars dotted around the country.
